A few days ago, I shared my perspective on the outcomes of COP-28 in Dubai. Based on feedback, while some readers found it helpful and realistic, others felt it was not enthusiastic enough. Today, I’m excited to present to you a new perspective from my recent podcast interview with Amy Harder, the founding Executive Editor of Cipher News, on the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) in Dubai. During our conversation, Amy Harder expressed her pleasant surprise with the outcomes from COP 28, noting that while the results were not perfect, it was stronger than she had anticipated, particularly with regards to transitioning away from fossil fuels, the Loss and Damage Fund, and the growing presence of private companies and entrepreneurs promoting clean energy technologies. However, we both agree that the lack of agreement on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement was a significant disappointment.
